01 Brake issues

Hi,
I'm new here but I have a few questions. I have an 01 Blaster with stock brakes all around. My major issue is that when I pull the front brake handle only the right brake locks up and the left doesn't do anything. I did have trouble with this brake before because the cable snapped but I replaced it and it worked for about 2 weeks. Any suggestions?

theres 2 wing nuts on the front brake drums screw the one on the wheel thats not working in to tighten it up that should help

or the pads might be worn out on that side

Ok thanks. I'll check the wing nut and see if that helps. And another question. My rear brake pads are starting to wear. Any suggestions of what kind to get?

Save up and get a aw08 rear GSXR brake kit. You will be fighting with that stock all the time to keep it working rite.
