01 Blaster rebuild project

actually im in the persian gulf at the moment. when i get back home i'm planning on a 240 kit and an extended swingarm. i can easily pull my arm off and send it to you to do the work once i get back to the USA. i cant see myself paying $300 for a ebay +4 swingarm. i wont be home till November so you have plenty of time to think about it and come up with a price estimate.

the blaster is getting completely torn apart, gusseted, powdercoated, and a bigger motor between november and janurary. its gonna be a pure bred dune bike by the time im finished with it.

ill send cigarettes!!! lol

i live on the mexico border, they're cheap as hell there. they have $2 gas there as well.

It looks like I need to hire TJ after all.

Im not sure yet, I didn't keep track how long it took when I did mine. When I do fowlrocks, I will take note of the time, and then let you know and everyone else who is interested. What sucks, is shipping back and forth will take up a chunk of money to begin with.

if the price is right, ill pay shipping both ways for mine. it wont cost that much for UPS ground. maybe $30 at most one way. i would much rather support a fellow blaster owner over a business that sells parts like the swingarm shop on ebay.

Did you make a jig or do you square everything a-bajilion times?:-D

Im just asking cause after i z'd the frame for my 34 ford i think i should have just made a fricken jig just incase i get hit. i dont want to go through that again..

I love your craftsmanship. i enjoy looking at things people made themselfs rather than buying everything.

Thanks Junior, at the time, I thought I was only going to do mine, and maybe fowlrocks, so I did not make a jig, I just measured, clamped, tacked, remeasured, adjusted if needed, so on so on.

I got my wheels, tires, and grips today. Shocks yesterday, blasted and painted last night, and will put them on tonight.

I also got my piston today and took it to the machinist, to find out it needed some more clearance, so he is reboring tomorrow morning, and I can pick it up at noon. Hopefully running tomorrow.
