So I picked my first ever quad up last weekend for 500 bucks. It needs a lot. I have never even seen a blaster before this one so I was pleasantly surprised to see that parts and accessories for these bikes are relatively cheap. The first thing that's gotta happen is carb cleaning and air filter. The tires are nearly bald and 22 inch doughnuts. The clutch needs replaced. After those things are ironed out my checklist is: new grab bar. New bumper. Silencer/FMF pipe. Nerf bars. And rejet. Extended axel and possibly extended a-arm. I'll post as I get things done. If you guys have any info or opinions in brands/styles feel free to chime in. Knowing nothing about quads I could definitely use the input!

also look around on the for sale section on the forums u might find items for cheap that you can buy and then that will enable you to get some engine work done to it.

tusk clutch kit from ebay w/ heavier springs.
or the driveline performance clutch for a few more $

20" rear tires.....ITP holeshots, maxxis Razr's, shredders, dunlop radials ect.
21's or 22's up front

Well I just rebuilt the carb with little to no problems. Built the leak tester and everything checked out fine. Took me a while to get the idle screw adjusted but after I figured that out it was all hunky doory. I happened across a complete brake setup off a 2001 banshee in my home town. He only wanted $20 so I couldn't turn it down. Ended up ordering the tusk clutch kit off ebay and its on its way in the mail. Slowly but surely getting this thing going. Broke my clutch cable at deer camp this weekend so I ordered 2 of those to have one as a backup. Hopefully I will have the funds soon to do more! Just have to get a couple of brackets for the new brakes fabbed up and down to my local welding shop and soon I will be able to stop again! Will chime in more updates when I get more stuff done.

Consider getting a pair of rear hubs from a Banshee, Warrior, Raptor, YFZ 450, or 450r. The r hus will also add extra width. These hubs will alow you to run stock Yammy alum wheels in 9" dia , which have a greater selection of tires than the 8" wheels. jmho.

Got 400ex shock installed today. My phone went down so no pics till tomorrow. Next up on the list is pulling clutch cover and trouble shooting why my clutch randomly went out when I changed the cable. :( next money to be spent is a tusk clutch kit.
