ATVs do not generally come with titles in the traditional sense. When you buy new ATVs from an ATV dealer you will receive a bill of sale for ATV proof of purchase and a certificate of origin. If you take out an ATV loan or bank loan, or arrange for dealer ATV financing, the certificate of origin stays with the ATV loan agent until the dept is paid.
So the certificate of origin is actually like a tittle, it is not needed to get the atv registered in your name. Most likely you will need the following to complete ATV registration: a dmv bill of sale with seller details(name, address), proof of having paid sales tax, the 17 digit ATV VIN number, a signed application and payment of applicable DMV fees.
