So I have a blaster with cr125 motor now and I am looking for my next quad to build.

Whats your honest opinion? Should I build the yfz450 or build a blaster? Also should I pick up a blaster with a messed up engine for cheap since I will be building it anyway?

youll spend sh*t loads of money on the yfz and itll still lose to a blaster with sh*t loads less money in it, but the yfz will out handle a blaster all day no matter what you do to the blaster

I do mostly trail riding but I ride mx any chance I get.

I don't have a bunch of money to spend but theres a blaster for sale for 295 that supposedly runs but is stuck in gear. Would this be an easy/cheap fix?

If you dont have tons of cash to throw around i would get a blaster. Can get a really nice mix between a trail and mx bike with out much coin. yeah for 295 i would buy it. I just bought one for 300 needed lots and lots of tlc and a topend for 300

I hope you are joking.... I seriously hope you are joking...

Dude a yfz would eat a blaster like there's no tomorrow. The blaster is an out dated 2 stroke wil the yfz is a modern efi beast of a 4 stroke! Now let the bashing begin...

Yes and no....

Yea you can build a blaster to compete with a 450 but itll be a ticking time bomb and imo not really worth it.especially if its not going to last.Suspension wise i think the blasters pretty well covered in that area thanks to its garden variety run of the mill abundance and the aftermarket.

And all the 450's ive rode are exactly what you said "BEASTS" even stock ones are a blast.I:I a bonestock out of the box 450 is a far cry from most modded blasters.

But i dont care i still prefer 2 strokes and will always have one of some make or model but im not going to not give credit where its due and the 450 is very respectable.

you have to love the blaster in order to put enough into it to run with a 450 BUT once u do get there its awesome seeing the look on peoples faces to get handled by a "little kids quad" lmao ;)

now don't get me wrong. I love 2 strokes always have and always will. But here this. If I had the opportunity to buy a modern 450 or bigger 4 stroke I would.
