UPDATE: i've been talking to the guy with the cr500 and we're working out a good time to meet, probably going to be sometime next week! i'll keep you guys updated as much as possible!

250cc dirtbikes have schloads of power. More than most people on this sites blasters make. Therye stupid fast. A 500 makes a 250 look like a tonka toy.

i've rode one once before but didn't get a whole lot of time in on it. i won't be riding it alot, just enough to get a feel for it and maybe show up some ignorant 4 poke riders haha. i don't hate on 4 strokes, but i know that they can be beaten easily by some smaller 2 strokes.
not a crf150f. maybe the 150r but i would think the xr would be more powerful than the 150f
you have to think though, my 150f is modded out bigtime, not much left that i could add to the bike and i still want more power.
@darederek yeah if i get this cr500 i'm definitely going to embarass some 450's. this one rich kid has a trx450r and thinks it's the meanest thing around and everybody believes him. i can't wait to blow him off the road haha.
@paulie b yeah good point, i never really thought about it like that. the bad thing is though, my 150f is a 08 model i've only had 2 years and it already has rattling in the top end and is burning oil like crazy. it might be the meanest 150 around but it needs rebuilt bad and my step dad swears up and down nothing is wrong with it so i can't fix it. and cr500's are definitely hard to start, this one has like new plastic and looks to be in great shape other than the silencer so hopefully it'll be good.

alright the guy with the cr500 started ignoring my messages so i won't be trading for that. my buddy has a 2004 yamaha blaster that he said he'd trade me and he is going to throw in 2 chinese 110 fourwheelers, brand new hot rods yamaha banshee crank, tons of banshee parts, tons of blaster parts, and a few other things. the blaster needs rebuilt but runs as is, needs kick starter gear and spring, and one of the clutch cover bolts is stripped. what do you guys think? it's in overall good shape. plus it's another blaster saved from part out and i'd have 2 then.

well i like my quadrunner cuz it almost never gets stuck in mud and has 25 inch bearclaws but i like the blaster cuz... well... it's a blaster! i could have a back up blaster for when one is down. plus i would be getting a couple of chinese 110's, blaster/banshee parts, and a BRAND NEW hot rods crank for a banshee along with the blaster. the blaster needs top end rebuilt and a new kickstarter gear and spring. doesn't need alot i figure about 150-200 dollars and i got another good blaster.
i want to do it yeah but i want to know if you guys think it's a good idea before i make a final decision.

my buddy knows what my quad needs and he offered me his blaster and all the other stuff for it. my quadrunner is worth about 1100-1300, and it is the only one of it's kind around where i live. the blaster needs the cylinder bored, needs piston and rings and gaskets, needs kickstarter spring. it ran when we took it apart but when we got inside the cylinder was scarred and so was the piston. one chinese 110 we've been fixing. all it needs is a starter at the moment but turns over fine, the other 110 is for parts. the new banshee crank i'd say is worth about 150 or so not sure, other banshee parts no idea.
