Introduction first, before I pump you all for information. My name is Rob, I am located in NC close to Ft. Bragg/Fayetteville. I am active duty Army, I like shooting fire arms, riding my KLR650, skydiving, and I am building my first Quad, which is a blaster and will become my newest obsession. I have searched the forum, and the internet but have not found the info I am looking for. I was wondering if a sleeve for the wr200 could be used in a blaster. Now here is what I have found out so far, using said forum and internet. The dt200/wr200/blaster share a lot of parts. the crank and piston being a couple of them. the wr200 is a plated water cooled jug, but I have found a replacement sleeve for the wr200. The wr200 has the most aggressive port layout of the three motors. I even found a forum/site that had people using the different sleeves on some twins I think it was early RDs. So if I need a new sleeve, and I want a more aggressive port layout, could the wr200 sleeve be made to fit a blaster jug then ported/polished to make a real screamer? And avoid spending like one million dollars on a la sleeve bbk. I have already contacted Ken OConnor about doing the standard machine work for me, and would welcome thoughts from all machinists/motor builders on this. If this has already been discussed, please provide me a link, and you can call me stupid for not finding it on my own. I have thick skin, it won't hurt my feelings. Thanks in advance, and thanks for the great info on this forum.
