I have a 2000 blaster that is acting wierd last weekend it was running great than started to dump fuel out of the overflow when idling. fix that by adjusting my float doesnt leak now but runs like crap it backfires and has a banging sound from it missing and heats up really quick than shuts down and it boggs down alot then picks up in higher rpms i clean the carb out and all it has new v-force3 reeds and has a 140 cold and after it shuts off on me it has 110 psi of compresson cant figure out whats wrong was thinkin maybe bad gas but any suggestion on what could be wrong would be helpfull

Your compression is definitely low. You might want to get new piston rings. Also you are probably running pretty lean if it heats up that fast. What mods are done to it? What jets are you using?

Sorry compression is fine when it is cold. 140 is great. It is weird that it drops that much that quick also

its has a 66.25 piston was rebuilt in winter and ran fine only mods is v-force3 reed that i got from my freind but they where brand neww in box still has stock jetting still

it took me prolly 10 or so kicks to start up and was running a lil rough than crapped out fast with in 5 minutes of riding it is extremly hot and lower compression

Your fuel inlet needle is worn out. By adjusting the floats up higher you leaned the motor out.
Put the float level back and get a new needle before you end up toasting your motor.

i messed around again with the float and ur right paulie B adjusted my float again and it runs but it will just dump fuel out when idling not every time but it is either it runs like sh*t and doesnt dump fuel or it runs great and dumps fuel its time to rebuild the carb thxs for the info
