if your pullin' your reeds off and on like that and didnt use RVT sealer to reinstall them then you have airleaks, its not a maybe its a given bro. vf3 makes it even easier to obtain air leaks

SAVE YOURSELF AND US TIME PEOPLE AND DO A FRIGGEN LEAKTEST ONCE AND A WHILE!!!! please its very important, wheather you "think" it has leaks or not it does! and theres no way to know 100percent without doing the test

I would be willing to help you with your troubles with jetting if you would tell me your mods and stuff?

vforce 3 reeds, F7 pipe, stock carb, stock top end. Oil injection off

Have you checked for other air leaks such as Reed gaskets and boot? Double check the cap on oil nipple.

vaccum cap is on with rtv

Only pulled them once, and i use rtv on every gasket.

Sheeblast, i sprayed soap with water all over the place found no airleaks, and then used brake fluid to re-test and idle never went high or changed when i used it.

After 1/4 plug chop, plug is brown.

What did happen, wa that during the plug chop, when i held it at 1/4 throttle it was normal but then it stopped responding, like if i had turned it off, but my finger was still at 1/4 throttle, then after 2 secs or so, it got back.

did u do a leak down test or did you just spray soapy water on everything?????

I do not have a leak down tester.

But on every possible place where it could leak i sprayed soapy water and found nothing. Then i re-tested by spraying brake fluid to see if the idle would get high like it should if any brake fluid would get in there, and nothing.

Ok do us all a favor and re list ALL settings. Air screw, pilot size, needle # and clip posistion, main jet. Saves from having to reread and decipher where you are at now. Have you cleaned complete fuel system? Tank, petcock, COMPLETLY dissasembled carb and cleaned ALL pasages? How is the gasket on slide cap? Do you have tors on carb ,"box" disconnected? Process of elimination.

please make or buy a real tester, a long time ago i tried the ghetto (carb cleaner) way too and it didnt detect the leak i had. if its not an airleak then probably spark related. doesnt brake cleaner eat plastic, rubber and paint?

also soapy water wouldnt do anything if theres no pressure inside, soapy water only works when you are testing it.

Mods: F7 pipe, vforce3 reeds, stock top end and stock carb

Jetting: 35 pilot jet, 220 main jet(Dyno jet main, tried to find the equal size of mikuni so yall have a better idea but cant seem to find it), Dyno Jet needle that came with the Kit, clip is in second notch.

PLug Chop says im good on jetting. But i still get that problem in 1/4 problem.

Tors Box is still connected and no, i will not remove it since its not the problem and i dont want to have to cut wires.

Where can i buy one locally??? i wanna have it running by sunday.

Also, if it were an airleak...why would it only cause this....i thought airleaks also screwed with your idle.

not alwasy i had a leak on my head gasket didnt efect anything i spoted it because i had put a new lid on it had the jetting golden and after jeting i like to pull the plug and take a peek every now again just the little voice in the back of my head well i did and what do ya know plug looked lean looked down and the head gasket had oil all around it

An air leak will mess with all throttle settings of the carb , your jetting MAY be compasating for all but 1/8-1/4 throttle.Never did answer about air screw, wether fuel system is clean, doesn't take much to plug pilot jet. Also, is needle clip second from fat end (lean) or second from small end (rich) Leakdown Tester - Banshee HQ Forums Make your own leakdown tester. One other thing , unless you can diagnose your own problems, you're misleading others with soapy water and carb cleaner ,know what I mean :-/ http://www.blasterforum.com/full-rebuilds-128/4th-piston-blown-wtf-35837/

I completely disassembled the carb and cleaned it, and yes I assembled it back the correct way and float level is in spec.

Air screw is at 2 turns out, 2 notch at the top of needle(lean side) , And i didnt milslead him, i did tell him that the only way to be sure is a leakdown tester, people have found it to work with carb cleaner, but it doesnt always work, about the water with soap yes i was wrong. But lets keep this thread on track.

have you tried swapping the stock needle back in?

I cant, stock needle wont work with DJ main jet.

Im going to make a leakdown tester today and report back.

Im going to f*cking burn this pos blaster..

Did the leakdown test, found a leak in the intake, fixed it, did leakdown test again it was all good. I then checked the ground in the ignition coil, its making good contact.

And this f*cking piece of sh*t problem doesnt go away!
