same as WOT. warm the quad up with an old plug, then put new plug in, run it through the gears, then in 6th hold 1/4 throttle for like 20seconds or so. then cut the engine.
aight, gonna go buy new plugs at the gas station and ill report back!

I would be willing to help you with your troubles with jetting if you would tell me your mods and stuff?
Have you checked for other air leaks such as Reed gaskets and boot? Double check the cap on oil nipple.
if your pullin' your reeds off and on like that and didnt use RVT sealer to reinstall them then you have airleaks, its not a maybe its a given bro. vf3 makes it even easier to obtain air leaks
SAVE YOURSELF AND US TIME PEOPLE AND DO A FRIGGEN LEAKTEST ONCE AND A WHILE!!!! please its very important, wheather you "think" it has leaks or not it does! and theres no way to know 100percent without doing the test
did u do a leak down test or did you just spray soapy water on everything?????
Sheeblast, i sprayed soap with water all over the place found no airleaks, and then used brake fluid to re-test and idle never went high or changed when i used it.
Ok do us all a favor and re list ALL settings. Air screw, pilot size, needle # and clip posistion, main jet. Saves from having to reread and decipher where you are at now. Have you cleaned complete fuel system? Tank, petcock, COMPLETLY dissasembled carb and cleaned ALL pasages? How is the gasket on slide cap? Do you have tors on carb ,"box" disconnected? Process of elimination.
please make or buy a real tester, a long time ago i tried the ghetto (carb cleaner) way too and it didnt detect the leak i had. if its not an airleak then probably spark related. doesnt brake cleaner eat plastic, rubber and paint?
also soapy water wouldnt do anything if theres no pressure inside, soapy water only works when you are testing it.
Also, if it were an airleak...why would it only cause this....i thought airleaks also screwed with your idle.
An air leak will mess with all throttle settings of the carb , your jetting MAY be compasating for all but 1/8-1/4 throttle.Never did answer about air screw, wether fuel system is clean, doesn't take much to plug pilot jet. Also, is needle clip second from fat end (lean) or second from small end (rich) Leakdown Tester - Banshee HQ Forums Make your own leakdown tester. One other thing , unless you can diagnose your own problems, you're misleading others with soapy water and carb cleaner ,know what I mean :-/ http://www.blasterforum.com/full-rebuilds-128/4th-piston-blown-wtf-35837/
have you tried swapping the stock needle back in?
you were jeting for an air leak you gota rejet it again now
