ok im stuck in a debute. so far i have 2 options for widening this beast.

1) get banshee axle and hub, and have the +4 studs that i already have, on the banshee axle for total of +7. then buy +4 studs for the front, and then flip the rims back to normal in the front. for total of +4

2) get +5 studs for the rear, and move the +4 studs that i already have up to the front, and flip the front rims back to normal for total of +5 in rear, and +4 in front.

tbh, i think +7 is a little too wide. like it would feel weird. and is a little costly. for the hub, axle, and studs and i cant do it rite now.

and for the second one, i dont think +1" is much of anything. .5 on each side? idk to me it dosent sound like it would help. but i can buy the +5 studs now.

which ones do u think is the best

i complety trust the stud spacers, or even better the dura blue ones! but ive flat landed a 30' jump and bottomed out all 3 shocks, and had no problems, nor did i even think twice of them snapping.

Wider axle takes precedence over spacers or studs any day.

My lads bike is regulation MX (Aussie) width at 1270mm.

Banshee axle with +4 studs.

too narrow. more narrow then it is now. banshee is +3 i have +4
i dont want to go more narrow lol i already fliped in a corner going pretty slow too.
idk even tho a axle is 1000 times stroger, i think +5 and +4 in front and new suspension will be ok, and pretty stable. i was watching my last race vids, and if u look, when my front tire hits a bump, it bounces the rear up too. so no matter how far i leanded, it would do it. now that i have better suspension, i think it will help a lot with that!

no, No Spacers. not to dis other peoples decision to use spacers, i just see it as a 'weak link', so to speak. if you were going to use spacers, id say a good, quality set of non stud type spacers like Dura-blu or something along those lines would be safer than just the stud type. other guys here have used or Are using stud type and have good luck with them. my thoughts are anything over an inch with stud type is taking a risk with any real mx or hard trail riding.

Stock is width 40.7 inches.

Banshee axle +5 in studs, with 18x11x8 Kendas = 50 inches.

My lad is so light he would like to go even wider if regs would allow.

Even with his weight completly off the seat on corners he lifts a rear wheel and looses traction.

A point I may add is that, if you are going to widen the rear in any way, the swinger and its bushings need regular inspection for wear and cracking, as one heck of a lot of extra strain is put on them.

Ideally you want the front to be 1/2-1'' wider then the rear otherwise it gets hard to corner. The front end is going to want to push in the corners
