Hi all.

I am currently trying to tune my quad myself.. But tell why it is neccesary to redesign the head when milling? I mean if I mill and dont redesign the compression will be higher due to smaller space..

Can i mill my head .035" without redesign the head, but run with stock head, if yes, what is the up / downside.. ?

the stock blaster's head is a joke. it doesn't generate the kind of compression that it should. it restricts the potential powerband.
have it designed by a knowledgeable builder who knows what a good squish band and angle look like and knows all the deck heights etc.....
i always recommend kennedy_power. angus knows his sh*t!

Im on a tight budget, so i really wanna try myself.. i have access to machines to do it.. i just need to know deck height, and how much material to remove.. what the best "dome" look like.. If i only have some measurements.. then ill have a chance..

here is the problem. why would any engine builder give up their numbers, and design ideas for free. they wont. i know for a fact that all the builders on this forum know their stuff, and work hard on the motors they build. they are not going to tell you amounts to mill, and how to re-design, because they have put countless hours of R&D into thier work.

^^winner winner ..chicken dinner :)

the porting is alot more. thats just for the head to get milled and the head to be re-designed. porting runs anywhere from $150.00-$250.00 depending on the builder, and what type of port. porting for stroker motors is more.
