Who's Blaster is Benched?

My blaster is down, and has been down. needed a new motor mine was just rusted broken (internally) not fixable. needs a tranny. new rear axle and a bunch of stuff. So I picked a donor bike up this weekend that runs and everything for 600 bucks, and hopefully mine will be up and going this weekend. ITS A THREE DAY!

Mines down. The only thing wrong with it is carb.I got messing with it and seen the carb top was striped. The guy used black tape on it so it would screw down.Other then that I just need to put my pipe-V3 and tires on.No big deal.I don't ride in winter anyways.

mines is down cause i sent the cylinder and head off to kennedy powers to get a port and polish for my 3mil. possible hone. new rings(just to be fresh na mean) and the redesigned head. also my carb is messing up so im getting a pwk 35 airstryker this saturday for 25 bucks woohoo

Top end pulled off to put a new piston in, figured while it's apart I would save some money up and have the whole motor done. P&P, head mod, 3mm stroker and shift star mod done. Hopefully by spring.

I just completely rebuilt my o4 blaster. Broke it in and then took it to the ocala national forest for its maiden voyage but she sank. First it locked up because of an air leak at the intake. So I broke it down in the parking lot and cleaned up the cylinder and got the rings freed up. Slapped her back together corrected the leak and hit the trails. After a few noisy minutes of riding she started purring like a lion! So I rode the piss out of her for about 45 minutes and played around in some puddles for awhile. the last puddle splashed some water into the air box and choked her out. after about fifty kicks she started again. I rode for a while longer when I started to hear a grinding noise. she was done! I finally got the nerve to pull the top off again today and to my dismay the piston was fine! Then I turned my attention to the crank. It was stiff and dry except for some black oil on one side. The big end bearing is very stiff on the rod and dry as a bone. Could the water have caused this? I am hoping to salvage the crank and rod. I just put it in and it would really suck to have to buy a new one. FYI this is the reason I had to rebuild it to start with. The bottom rod bearing went out. Help! I was running 30/1 yamalube 2r

Mines down. the gear for the counter ballencer went just when it started to get cold out. havent wanted to work out in cold yet so shes still broke lol. before spring comes, ill bite the bullet and get it going good.

My '02 Blasty is still down, waiting on some warmer weather to install my new Renthal chain/sprocket kit and a billet flywheel cover. For a $ 450.00 Craigslist find that only needed the kickstarter fixed and a new flywheel key, I can't complain. At least it runs, although the carb. still needs jetting, so I won't be riding it until that and at least the front brakes are fixed. I plan to order a hydraulic rear conversion kit real soon, too.

Then there's my Banshee, which has been sitting headless in storage for the past 4 months, ever since I blew it up this summer. The previous owner had the engine 'rebuilt', which only involved putting in new pistons and rings. Then, he gooped up the old head gasket and re-used it. To add insult to injury, the quad has a full FMF exhaust and was run with no air filter, using stock jetting. Idiot! By the time I got it and discovered what had happened, it was too late. It ran about 8 hours with proper jetting and then died. Ugh. I reckon it's time for Flotek and a few other tricks with that engine....

Mine's out. Has an airleak somewhere. I bought a new intake gasket but haven't put it in yet to see if that helps. If not I'll check the head gasket and compression.

Mines down it only runs if i pop start it but with 17 inches of snow on the ground and no damn garage it may be awhile im going to buy a compression tester today!!!
