Hi,
I just picked up a 2005 Blaster for $300 off FB last week. I got it running (badly) shortly after picking it up and decided to do some common maintenance on it to get it running better and see how much work and time this project will cost me.
Last night I changed the oil and out spilled a white / grey oil from the crank case that smelled like gas. Any idea what this means? I assume gas is getting in the oil but I have never seen oil this color come out of a crankcase.
I assume the motor will need to be rebuilt and the seals redone.
I have a carb rebuild kit, and an oil delete kit I was planning to work on tomorrow. My plan initially is to run more oil through the crankcase to flush it, install the oil delete kit and redo the carb and run it for a bit to see what happens.
