i am wanting to get an aggressive port job done and currently have a fmf turbine core2silencer and stock blaster pipe. I don't know if i can get a different brand pipe to go with the silencer or not. I'm wondering if different pipes put the power in different ranges and if anyone knew which one would match up well with that port work. also would the fmf silencer slip on if its not just the standard "gold series" fmf pipe.

Yes if your planning for a port and polish dont waste your time and money on pipes that wont handle and put the increased hp to good use. And for best performance you should use the silencer the header comes with. dyno port, power pros/f7/ct, toomey and lrd are always good choices.

Ask the person thats going to be doing the port work what pipe he's recommend. Most engine builders will port an engine with a specific pipe in mind to maximize your power output

Thank you stroker, took the words right out of my mouth. It is always best to ask the builder doing the work which pipe they recommend for your build/their porting. Who know's, you may even save some money purchasing it through the builder as well.
