is it the thing wit the metal clip attached? if so, its in the first groove.. can this be why my quad is reving really high whenver its in neutral or when the clutch is pulled? thanks

i wish i could see a picture of the needle clip position i been trying to change the grrove slot but i cant find it im thinking i dont have one maybe sumone can give some pics b/c im lost. you may be revving up b/c u need to jet it or have a air leak. do u know how to set ur idle??? screw on top of carb under seat may be out of wack.

If you haven't changed the pilot jet then you shouldn't have touched the position of the needle clip.

Some pilot jets come with a new needle....

If you didn't change the pilot jet then you shouldn't have had to change the needle position. Try adjusting the air screw and the idle screw....but again, if you haven't changed them, that shouldn't be the cause. You may have an air leak somewhere....

i think the stock poss of the clip should be the third one up. thats just from what i remember when i was having to re-tune my blaster because the people that owned it before me f*cked it up.

WTF! does the needle have to do with the pilot system!!????
I tuned one of the "TM" series carb that every one says cant be tuned and I assure you that the pilot jet and needle position or the needle it's self have virtually nothing to do with each other.

yes that would cause the bike to rev high on the first clip, look in the carb and see how high the slide is sitting, as u raise the clip the slide will lower down, lowering your idle, it should be on the 3rd position clip for stock

yes... thats prob y im the opposite mines bogging i just went up one, so go down 1. how many do u have? 3 or 5. if its bad and u have 5 ide say go to the middle 1 down 2. but go down on that lil clip i just found mine yesterday lol i didnt know i had to pull apart the whole middle to get to it.

well finally got out today and rode i ended up doing 1 upon the needle clip and wentto a 260 main from a 250. bike felt good and rode for a while. checkedmy plug and it was a silver white so im gonna go up to a 280 main and see where im at. but allin all the low end bog wasnt there and felt pretty good. at idle after riding it had a high idle which kinda tells me its lean anyway. i think a 280 will do it.
