Whats the next mod?

I currently have a 2003 Blaster with a 14T gear, ITP Holeshots, Uni filter with no airbox, FMF powercore 2 silencer, FMF Fatty, 4 degree advance,Super stock carbon fiber reeds, reed spacer, running a 280 Main Jet, What should my next mods be? I dont want to rip the motor apart yet...What Other mods can I do to get this thing flying?

PS My buddy has a 2010 250 Raptor and in 2 weeks we are going to badlands and he wants to race. I want to make sure Im set up for this race.

Nothing to much left really with out motor work. Maybe a better carb

Get a modified head. Even without porting a modified head helps all around power output.

If you really want to most out of it though, you'll need to get the top end ported.

I think a raptor 250 and a mild blaster are even matches. He'll be able to out maneuver you, you'll be able to outrun him.

do not worry, you will beat a raptor 250 with a stock blaster i would assume

best mod is cylinder port work

about to purchase a Used Cylinder Head Of an auction site. Have Ken do the head porting?

Does it matter what year Head it is? Or are they all the same?

Skip the engine for now and focus on handling and brakes. Hydraulic rear brakes, Works front shocks or something better, and a 400ex or 450R rear shock with bushings. You already have him beat in power....however power isn't everything when it comes to riding through trails.

Yes. You're good to go on that. I would find some used works front shocks or some stock banshee shocks if you're on a tight budget. Definantly look into getting a 400ex rear shock.

As already mentioned, I recommend Ken Oconnor's head redesign. It gives you a good boost in power and made mine accelerate better. Ken told me though to undo the +4 timing if you do the head mod. He also recommended changing to a b9es plug.

throw a 28mm carb on there or maybe a 30mm if you plan on doing the head mod and porting soon. Depending on the porting style, the 30mm will work but may need bigger. Just call ken and talk with the guy. He is really a great guy who is willing to talk you through anything you might need.
