Exactly what it says... Front and back, what shocks(not aftermarket) will work best? For example: yfz450, 400ex, etc. I'm about 180 lbs, about 6 feet tall, with a 3 inch extended swinger.
What shocks will work on a Blaster...?

450 in the front, u o need either long travel a arms or a shock conversion kit, and a 400ex in teh rear
diamond j widening kit google it they also make a arm brackets that extend them.
you can use z400 kfx400 trx450 400ex trx250 yfz450 banshee and warrior shocks
z400 shocks suck unless they are 06' and up cuz they have rezzies
kfx400 i dont know much about iv heard of other people using them
trx450 shocks are good but not as good as yfz450 shocks
banshee shocks are like stock blaster shocks except a little bit better
warrior shocks are usable but not very good at all
trx250 you can only use the rear and you wont need the diamond j shock conversion kit like the rest^ (same for the 400ex rear shock)
all shocks add anywhere from 1-3 inches of ride height

i love that feeling just like 2 inches from bottoming out!
thats a nice landing thats what u want. but as soon as u bottom out you need to stiffen your shocks up

i would not recomend the widening kit if u do and big jumps or hard landings, and as for the yfz 450 rear, u will need to make or buy a lowering kit cause it is 18" long
so could you get those lowering kits and run the yfz all the way around ?
or just the rear?
in not sure how the lowering kit would work, u could probebly, because the yfz front shocks are 16", thats what i was thinking of doing, but i wanted my +5+1 a-arms, but i would say most likely that would work, it may sit a little higher than stock, but the shocks are so amazing, its unbelievable the difference they make
No yfz450 shocks will not simply bolt up front or back. Quick tip for you youngsters that want to save money. Just because some aftermarket shocks have rezzies doesn't mean you need them. The rezzies does nothing for ride quality. It simply helps cool the core down if you are repeatedly jumping for long periods of time. This does not include you and your buddies all taking turns on the same jump, I'm talking about pure all out racing for 2hrs plus where you are constantly in the air and then maybe rezzies are beneficial. So IMO I would save the cash and buy a dual rate or tripple rate shock/spring set up and still race just as hard and just as fast. Some people have it set in their head that to be top dog you have to have rezzies, well all you really are is the guy that wasted money when you could have had some decent wheels and tires on your quad with the money you saved.
