What kind of screwdriver do I need to use to take these freakin reeds out. I tried two different sizes and press down really hard and it still slips and starts to strip it out.

You need that specialty screwdriver shaped conveniently like vise-grips. Those little screws aren't made of a whole lot a regular screwdriver won't take them out. Use a small tipped phillips on the screw head itself and then snap a pair of vise-grips around the outside. Turn both the screwdriver and the vise-grips at the same time. If you bought a new set of reeds, they should come with replacement screws (my vito's did) if not, don't chance it, go to a hardware store and purchase new ones. The screws need a little loc-tite red (or at least blue) and to be put in equally as tight as they are right now. If one backs out, it's going into the motor and you don't want that...

do this, put the reed on a flat hard surface. put the screwdrive in the screw, take a small hammer and hit the screwdriver in the screw but make sure it is not at an angle. this will help loosen the screw a little. and it will also push the screwdriver deeper into the head of the screw to help get a better grip for turning it.

Don't use blue lostite and you might be digging one of the reed mount screws out of the top of your piston. Which one is worse destroying $.80 worth of screws the five times total over the life of your quad or one top end just once? I might consider using red loctite and a torch to remove them just to keep it from falling out.
