What kind of oil

Hi I have a 99 blaster and i want to change the oil. Should I use gear oil or regular 4 stroke motor oil? Thanks.in advance.

I ran that 80w gear saver crap once and my clutch was never the same. I ended up with a new clutch in it. So no gear oil!

I've been running atf type f for a while now in all my blasters and it works great

i agree i was into the 80w gear oils way back,but it is overkill and destroys clutches.
it takes 650ml of oil no more no less.

The recommended oil for the gearbox is 10w30 engine oil with no friction modifiers,


The manual describes the way to check the level, but the sight window has been known to tell lies.

A better way is to measure 650ml and put that in!
