Right now I'm running Regular gaz in my blaster. I have a FMF pipe and silencer, Boyesen Carbon Fiber reeds, 260 main jet and a uni air filter. what kind of gaz should I run ? 91 octane or higher or stay the same ? does it give anymore power?

I run 91, something that does not have ethanol in it either. So shell or chevron. Dont run "halfgas" (av/pump) that is the biggest joke in the world. does nothing. Actually lowers the overall octane.

Regular 87 octane is fine. Anything more and you will lose power and money.

man u cant be serious...do u run 87 in your sportbike too?? ...sh*t u can hear the difference in how the motor runs and how snappy the throttle responds and how do u come up with losing power with a higher octane??? im not talkin race gas but like 92-94...your telling me that a machine will run better on 87 then say 94???

Actually there are times that if the compression isn't high enough that the engine will suffer by running a higher octane. If the octane is too much for the bike to burn in relation to the compression ratio then it will take longer to burn, thus slowing down the burn cycle.

I saw the difference in between 89 and 91. I put that in for 3 tanks of gaz and it carboned up my plug badass. for those 2 summers i ran with 89 that sucked. started with 91 and will never go back :D

you got somethin stuck in your head. these guys are right about higher octane on a bike that doesnt need it makes it have less power.

ive heard alot of debating over this..
all i can say is when i run 93 by itself it will detonate.. if i mix it with the av gas it wont.. when i run str8 av gas it wont detonate either..
