There has been a lot of discussion on what ratio to run your gas at.
So much in fact that Im more confused now then ever. So I have a stock blaster that has been bored 40 over. what ratio should I be running? I run 40 to one in all my other toys. :-/

technically, you can run whatever ratio you want, assuming its jetted accordingly. Just running lower than 24:1 will be detrimental because the little 200cc won't make enough heat to burn all that oil.

Don't listen to anyone that says that less oil = more power because that has been proven false.

I would advise against running less than 40:1 though, premix oil is your engine's lifeblood, don't starve it of that.

^i've read that in a few different variations on different sites, and i've the gordon jennings take on it as well.

I run my Zilla at 20:1 like Suzuki suggests and it's been great to me

I run the Blaster 25:1 with a castor blend oil. The more oil the less fuel, so the air to fuel ratio I feel is compensated. I seldom foul a plug, as the motor is usually on full power all the time and after warm up there is only a slight wisp of smoke.

I have heard discussed that a Castor blend oil at 25:1 will add up to 3% more power. The "little 200cc" develops more than enough heat to burn all that oil, if jetted correctly. I choose to run rich and reap the benefit of less rebuilds.

No less than 40:1 32:1 is for if your riding it hard. 40:1 is for like starting it up and putzing it arround the yard. 32:1 if for riding hard with your buddies and anything higher than that is if you got the money for all the oil it eats.

the mix really depends on the oil being used, the type of riding being done and the jetting, basically run whatever works for you don't go less than 40:1 unless you are sure of what you are doing i run c16, the lead in the fuel helps as a lubricant so i generally run fully synthetic @ 40:1

I ran the piss outta my banshee for 4 hard years at 40:1 with amsoil interceptor before it lost compression....

Im switching over to Amsoil Dominator now because its red so its a lot easier to tell if the gas is mixed. That and it smells awesome :)

It does smell awesome, I dont even mind riding behind someone if there using Dominator mix lol. Im using Dominator in both of my blasters and its been great one blaster still has the oil injector and in the other i mix at 40:1
