What engine oil would you stick with?

Nothing wrong in running the oil that Yamaha recommends.
Stick with the tried and true.
There are other oils out there but they must support oil injection, and must be designed for air cooled motorcycles.

I run the oil injection system and love it. I use "Maxima Super M Injector. Awesome stuff!
ran that from day 1 on my brand new '96, sold it 8+ hard years later with the stock piston and rings in it, still starting in 1-2 kicks everytime.

I too would like to run injection but I does not suit my application.
I use Castrol R30 which is Castor oil, and I vary my oil ratio to avoid continually re jetting when riding minor changes of elevation or temperature.
I also prefer to run an average oil ratio of 25:1, and jet one size on the richer side of optimum.
Combined the above choices give more compression, adequate lubrication at high engine speed, and a great peace of mind that a rebuild is not in the near future.
25:1 is more than adequet 
i've never used maxima before cause it's arround $16-18 a quart here. but I here great stuff and that it smells like just cut fruit??

32:1 is fine for trails, general riding, but when one is at high engine revs it will lose the mathematics of oil migration which a 25:1 ratio will cure.

local shop charges me $12 a quart for dominator I ment maxima was expensive for me to run
My favorites are the "Maxima Super M Injector,and "Redline".
When I was experimenting with the removal of the oil injection system (which I put back on) I was running Maxima Castor 927.
Let me tell ya... THAT BEAN OIL ROCKS!
