I have a 06 blaster I recently purchased and it's my first 2 stroke so I know nothing about them. I want to get my stock head Ported/polished/milled/rechambered/ pro circuit exhaust/ bigger carb so my question is do I need to do anything else done while I have the top end disassembled? Like timing or anything else that would cause a problem?

I'd stick with the stock carb and rejet for the pipe, ect.
it'll easily handle 30-ish horsepower you may see with that combo (depending on who does the work)

add a UNI filter and better set of reeds (vito's, boysen, v-force)

you can bump the timing a little if you want, but not required.
3-4 degrees per the DIY on here, will give you a little more bottom end, w/ slight drop off up top.
or let the timing alone until you get the other work done, then test + or stock to see what you like

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but just make sure you leak test. Also check to see that your crank is within spec. << no up/down play and minimal side to side play. The specs are in the manual..

Also,, welcome to the forum. :)

Everywhere i read I see a leak test mentioned. I haven't done it to mine seeing how it ran pretty Damn good. And always starts on first kick. But I am going to Do the test because it's something I need to learn. Awk08 thanks for the reply. I had planned to keep the stock carb and upgrade later for a little more power. As far as reeds go I heard it makes no power gains. Just smoothes the throttle response a bit. Should I just get stock replacement reeds or is the new cage really worth the money?

Alright thanks for all the help. I just started using this site and everyone has been extremely helpful.
