What does tors do?

This is a stupid question I know but, What does TORS do, and what difference does it make if i remove it?

its the Throttle Over Ride System

it is supposed to shut down the quad in the event that the throttle sticks, but its known to malfunction and cause several problems

to be honest, i have never had a problem with the TORS, i have always had a problem with the parking brake.

what TORS does really is, that is has two sensors, one is to see where the thumb throttle location is, the other is to see where the cable for the carb slide is.
when they do not match location, it cuts ignition to the plug.

they have been known to miss up and cut ignition for a miss reading.
