Should Itrade my complete motor setup for a complet 93 Honda cr250r bike? I would take the motor and swap it in the blaster frame. Does this sound like a good trade and worth the time to swap the cr motor in the blaster frame? I have acces to a fabb shop so that part isnt a problem. I have pretty good skills myself. Let me know what you think. I can trade for the bike this weekend probaly.

Thanks for the input i advance

well.. since its my bike.... i cant really say much on this... your call buddy...

ya know the bike aint junk.. since ya know damn well i wouldnt have gave up 'bad biiish' for some scrap!

i really wanna do a swapped blaster but.. i been thinking and i have sooo much going on right now, with the wife being preg, spring time, trying to get the olds ready for summer and the wedding... its easyer to get agood motor and bolt it in and go..

the bike in question..... mine :)

eh... everyone wants the new 4 stoke stuff... if he were to do this he could prb come out ahead on it.. put the rear hydro onto this blaster, do the swap, sell whats lef of the bike for 300-600 for parts... sh*t the tires alone on rims shoulds be 200 bucks easy.. there straight and not missing spokes

ima straight up guy if you guys havent noticed.. the bike is not mint by any means... front fender ha s asmall piece missin, rear shows stress marks and acrack at the back of it,the side number plates and air scoops for the radiators were painted black and are chipped.. rearbrake needs to be bleed for sure if not rear pads... its a nice machine but its not mint.... running and riding wise its almost a+!!!!

it wont idle unless the choke is on.. throttle cable is stretched which is minorbut its 100% ridable the way it sits...clutch is strong trans shifts perfect, powerband is insane!!!!

its pretty much cosmetic, but everything is there and very useable.....

i wouldnt have traded my quad for it if i didnt feel it was 100% worth it, and i felt it was..

you ever rode a cr250r???? there 45 hp stock!!! im a 4 wheeled guy.. and the cr scares me... power band is insane!!! my 255 pounds half up on the tank and your still lookin at clouds when the power valve drops...

my bro got a yz250 2004 that was piped and had vf'3 reeds and i feel in love with it the power of it to pull up with the tap of the gas. then it got stolen a week later broke my heart

4 wheel guy but that is a nice bike, if it was me i would do it, u talkin ur 240 for it cody? thats a good deal, imo, ur blaster would f*ckin rip up shees with that motor in it

Yeah I know it would be fast, and yeah my 240 for the complete bike. The only thing thats holding me back is do I wanna lay up my blaster for at least a good month. And how much is this build going to really cost?? The biggest thing to me right now is what exhaust will I be able to run. Getting the motor in the frame isnt a worry to me its the exhaust, will I be able to use the pipe from the dirt bike or could I run a 250r pipe? And then the radiators?? The cr has two, I would rather run a single as the blaster frame is quite small. But yeah it would rip like crazy and I really wanna do this. I just need a little more input. Check this site out for swaps, the dt200 motor swaps right in, macdizzy.com

depending on your schedual( just woke up gemme abreak on my spelling) with proper tools, mainly wleder and grinder witha cut off wheel, or something simmaler you could built it in a week, can run a banshee radiator, or the twins on the cr, i was gonna run the twin ether off the frame that drops down to the front motor mount, or the twins mounted next to each other where the hood should be, as for exhaust, you can run a 250r pipe ( and if so i happen to have a friend sellin a lrd) since the 250r pipe comes out so far off the exhaust port you would have to cut and weld it so its shorter, because the 250r one around like 6-8 inches straight off the motor than swing out, and the rest should sit right in place. or you get a dirt bike pipe and run that, it looks like a fmf or something would fit almost dead on, just might have the change the angle the silencer sits, since thet are on a upward angle,
the stock pipe should fit with a some minor fab work though

Of Course I'm Going To Say Do It.

I Wish I Had The Fab Shop To Work With That Would Be Kick Ass

That Would Make It So Much Easier And Faster. You Would Barely Notice A Down Time.

Go For It

Hey whats up guys! Im a newbie to the atv world and im infected and love it!!! Im considering doing a swap myself, been reading these threads and some people say go with the cr250 others the yz250. Which of the two has the most power/realibility?? Which one will have the least of problems installing? Im trying to slay some shee's!!!
