My billet intake came in today
It's the Chariot Performance one-piece billet intake with a plate to run with or without the internal crossover area. It looks to be a very nice, good quality piece, I am happy with it.
Heres how it looked out of the box and packaging.
Everything looks good, but we have a problem... the supplied boots are too small! Luckily, I had already ordered the boots I needed for my Throttle Bodies.
Heres a comparison shot
The bolt holes for the supplied boots and my TB boots were *ALMOST* identical, I had to do a little modifying to the holes, (heres a comparison shot of my TB boots, one modded, and the other one *PRE* mods.
After widening the holes, BAM they fit!
Original boot, vs my TB boots
Test fit time, now don't worry I know these look low right now but remember there are no reed blocks installed and they will make everything sit higher, and if it's still not high enough i have the option to:
1) Flip the TB boots to angle the TBs up some;
2) Flip the manifold to angle the TBs up with down facing boots;
an emergency came up so unfortunately I could not start working on the fuel rail and FITV actuator rail today
thats all for now
