Weird Problem

My blaster has been having huge problems with throttle response. I bought a new carburetor, and the first ride I had with it installed, it was running amazing. The next day I went to ride it and the problem came back. Today I cleaned the carb out with compressed air, carb cleaner, and I also cleaned my gas tank which was filled with small particles. I also took a look at my reeds and noticed that on of the 4 boyseen power reeds had an air gap. Thinking this was the problem, I put my stock reeds back on. Yet after all of this work, it still has a horrid throttle response problem. How do I get the my quad back to the performance that I had when I first installed the quad?

I also disconnected TORS

hows your filter? probably not the issue but it could be. also have you tried a new plug?
what about the tors? still hooked up?
Ah, I forgot to mention that I also disconnected my tors. I have tried a new spark plug but it hasn't made a difference.

i dont think its the reeds, mine had a gap in them to when i took them off, but it still ran like a champ, if the ones i put on today dont seem to work as well the power reeds ill put the powers back on.
how is te gas you are running? is it fresh and a good octane?

Yup, the gas I used today was freshly mixed that day.

do you store it anywheres where something could nest in your exhaust?
whats your premix ratio?
have you checked your wiring? loose connections, outer wire coating rubbed off, maybe a faulty something, get a tester and go through the coils and whatnot.

i had the same problem after my rebuild and i found that my base gasket between the block and cylinder was leaking and once i replaced it it ran perfect like it was suppose to do so you may want to do a leakdown test on your bike and there is a link somehwere here on how to make your own tester for 15$ hope this helps.

how about a clogged petcock? you said the tank was full of junk so i would think the filters on the petcock are clogged too. is your parking brake disconnected?

We though that it might have been that and cleaned it all out but even after we cleaned it, it still ran horribly.

I look into that thanks!

I store it in my garage so nesting shouldn't be a problem. My premix ratio is 32:1 or half a cup of oil to a gallon of gas.
just trying to get it completely straight. does it run just no throttle response?
or does it not run at all?
It does run, but not well when it does. If I go WOT, it putts and then after a second the rpm's jump like they should.
