weird noise?

I'd be tempted to try some
"sea foam"
Available at most auto stores an known to remove carbon buildup in autos,
Look it up on YouTube
A little elbow grease with a scotchpad might work too

how would i do the seafoam? i did it on my truck but how would i do it on a blaster?

without taking the piston off to soak it upside down in a little seafoam in a container,
i'd try soaking a rag and leave it on there for a few hours ???
maybe soak the scotchpad with it, then elbow grease ????

never tried it, seafoam was just a thought as it does eat carbon

Sea foam will disolve the carbon but takes a while. Soak small rag, fold to slightly large than piston, cover with baggie, let soak overnight, clean with scotch brite soaked next day. I would suggest removing piston, but then you would have to get new pin clips.

Youll never get all the carbon off with seafoam i soak every carb in seafoam when i rebuild it and while it works on the carbs the only real way to get it all off it to use a wire wheel i use the one on my bench grinder and it does a great job.

Been there and done that numerous times with my kdx's kips valves those things are notorious for carboning up and stripping out.It works very well and ill assure you those chinsey kips valves are no where near as tough as even a cast piston.

The wire wheel is your best bet IMHO thats what ive always used with no ill effects.

Go to a Chevy dealer and get some gm top engine cleaner. Either the spray or liquid will work. Spray it on and let it soak a little. This will take it off guaranteed!

Carbon is one of the products of combustion. Some oils are worse than others. I would say yours is totally normal amount. Be sure not to scratch piston when cleaning. It may cause a hot spot which will cause pre-ignition.

i think i might have found the weird noise today guys! when i went to pull the clutch cover to make sure the nut was tightend good, i got the kickstart off and all the bolts and as soon as i pulled the cover(gently) the whole kickstart shaft and everything just came out? maybe that was causing the noise? idk

not likely, it just stayed in it's corresponding hole in the clutch cover.

i think im a moron guys!!! i went to pull the blasty out the shed and i herd a rattling noise when it come off the edge and i looked for the noise and the front bumper top mount was loose like the bolt was almost out! i think thats probly why when i let off the gas it would rattle because of the vibration. what do yall think?
