weird noise?

it should be leak tested before tearing it down to identify if indeed there was a leak somewhere, so it can be fixed before frying new parts, then leaktested again after re-assembly, and must be proven leakproof before any jetting can be done successfully

contact slickerthanyou, he sales and rents them,
either for less than you paid for that new paintjob

From the vague description you gave my first thoughts are piston slap or detonation.

is the motor stock, modded,if so what mods, new build recently, whats your jetting, temps outside, leakdown, compression, plug chop just to name the basics.

And i dont know about your town but in my town we ride around town too the cops dont mind side streets on the way out to the river or woods but ive gotten a ticket for an atv on a public high way they dont want us on the high ways at all!But you can have golf carts and all that in town due to township ordinances so i cant bust your balls on that since its ok here and very well may be there too.Ive not drove my atv in a truck to any local riding spots in years because i live near an acess road and the cops told me where its ok to ride. Now if you ride in someones yard its over they will pop you with a 250.00 ordinance fine and a 75.00 citation. But theres a lot of kids around that do what you do sojust be smart and have fun.Its funny though at caseys all the kids take their atvs up there and hang out most of them dont have licenses yet lol

okay, since i dont know what the problem is, should i take the topend off, inspect it and fix anything unusual . or just replace the topend knowing i done the work and i know whats in there?

you should run a compression test too before you decide to tamper with the top end or spend the $$ to replace it when it might not be the real issue... just my opinion

To quote someone off BHQ,"If all you did was replace broken parts, did you really fix it?" In other words you have to find out why it broke (IF it is!!:o) I know you're 14, don't have lots of money or tools, but you got to figure out why BEFORE you tear it apart. I know you failed to answer several of my questions as well as some other members. I didn't feel like going back through this thread (yet). Heck, you never listed ALL mods/carb settings/jets/etc, other than fresh paint I have no clue.

We (I) want to help but you have to work with us. Go back through and answer EVERY question, answer wether or not you have done whats suggested. Open another tab on your computer so you can have reply box on one and your thread on another and give us more imput. Have you pulled clutch cover and looked/ Pulled pipe and LOOK at piston/cylinder?

mods: fmf fatty and silencer, boyeseen prostock reeds, k@n air filter and pre filter, bored .40 over by a shop .
jetting: the blaster was never jetted when my friend owned it and i told him id jet it for him. i put in a 280 main, middle position on the clip. and 1.5 turns out on the air/fuel mixture screw
i pre mix 32:1 and i think theres a couple air leaks near the reed cage cause theres oil and gas around it . runs good revs hang a tad. im trying to get everything fixed. i got some vids
warmup
ride
after ride

i think i got some piston damage. i took the carb off, and the reeds and the gas towards the end of the reeds was kinda grainy. and i slowly pushed the kickstart , the piston seemed to have some scoring

your airleak at the reeds, among possibly other ones, ran it lean and fried that top end. time for a complete topend rebuild.
a leaktester costs way less than a top end, contact slickerthanyou and get you one, before you waste another $200

yes indeed you might have to do a top end.. if its stanard bore and you can get away with honeing it out i got a std. pistion ill sell ya brand new never ran.

well i got a compression tester. 40 bucks at autozone. when i do it, do i need the carb and airfilter on, or can i just have the carb on?

what do yall look about this?
