Weird clutch problem

as i said i have a clutch problem all i did was up shift with out clutching but let off the throttle it was in the rain and fog so i didn't if it was steam or clutch smoke but the clutch was very hard to pull and notchy. the quad is stock and does not have heavy clutch springs

dont know it engages and disengages ok ish but it feel like it's F**KED

when pulling in, does it feel "bumpy" and when disengaging, does it like pop.

Start with the basics. Clean and lube the clutch cable, then check the pushrod adjustment.

the tip of the clutch arm is pointed and when pushed forward with your finger should align with the raised edge on the engine case below it. If it does not the push rod will need to be adjusted.
FWIW use the clutch to shift. just because it can be done( clutchless shifting ) does not mean its good for the transmission. it wears off the edges of the engagement dogs and tweeks the shift forks. I have also had to replace many busted shift drums on customers blasters to. Use the clutch.

take your clutch fibers and steels out of the basket, the "teeth/fingers" on the basket are getting worn down and have grooves in it.
