weird clutch issue

ok so I bought a 98 blaster for $200 got it running great.Now I went to ride it and clutch wont release.When you pull the lever it pulls a little and just stopped.Its not the cable any ideas?before I tear into it

Check by the front sprocket for case damage. I had the same problem on one of my craigslist finds and it threw a chain and crushed the case where the clutch actuator arm goes into the case.

wow,blaster kid.i ran out of day light after doing the carb and fixing the petcock leak,so didn't get to pursue it very far

Hopefully you problem isn't as severe as mine was. That was a pain in the a$$.

The clutch actuator and / or rod are damaged. Pull the actuator out and see if it's got a chunk missing where the shaft touches it.
