Weight

ill i have to say is FedEx ground under 100lbs is cheap!! i shipped front and rear plastics to a member the other day for $10.91 in a HUGE box.

^^^^ damn that is cheap. i know UPS will charge a huge ship weight for something even if it is light because it is in such a big box.

The weight is accurate. I ship them all the time. I’m sure it’s much easier to get the automatic $100 insurance than it is to get $1500. How is UPS breaking your item not a problem? Hey Slickerthanyou, tell us how you feel about UPS.

because i bought the screen, it didn't work, i was shipping it back to the guy, it got a crack in the upper right corner. i then got my money back.
also things happen, it is how you take care of those things that will make a business become better.
and the sexy girl at UPS always hooks me up too.
i have had USPS loss things, take very long time to ship things. but i still use them for the flat rate boxes.

Yeah, I won't say the PO is fast, and hell, they ship more items per day than the other guys combined ship per year, but if you get insurance, they will pay. UPS drives me nuts, especially UPS ground. Always takes longer than estimated and it's more expensive.

I still haven't forgiven them for leaving some parcels on my uncovered back porch on Friday (when I was gone for the weekend) and when they were damaged by a solid weekend of rain, they said it wasn't their fault.

I'm very happy with the USPS as far as price and transit time. I ship the 400 EX bushings all over the place.

USPS, CT to California = $1 and change with 3 days transit time.
UPS, CT to California = $ 7 with a five day transit time.

So far this year:
UPS. Damaged one engine, didn't pay. Insured for $1500. I asked for $350
UPS. Lost an axle that was packed in a solid shipping tibe. Didn't pay. Asked for $60
Fedex. Lost Kenny Gibsons +3 vito's crank. never paid
USPS. No issues.

i think it all depends who the people who take and ship it because there are so many people... some are good some are bad so it all a mater of the people that handle it and give info ive had good and bad dealings with ups but thats just my oplinion

I wouldn't ship my enemies by way of UPS, They Are crooks!! Got taken on more than one transaction! For about $400, was insured and all, but both claims denied and they wouldn't even give me a reason! Fuk UPS!!

I work for Staples and we have 2 UPS drop offs and 1 pick up per day. The drop offs usually consist of at least 20 packages, many of which come in damaged. Just about a week ago, we received a laptop from another store. The box was all mangled and trashed. We opened it up and the laptop had cracks all over it, kind of like they just intentionally beat the hell out of it. I never was too fond of UPS, but I never thought of the post office for shipping an engine. I'm going to have to go that route when I ship my engine. I love this forum. We go from asking a weight to completely changing the shipping courier, and with many benefits. Thanks guys.
