Probably a stupid question but can I run a warrior with out the cdi. And what is the purpose of the cdi?

Ok thanks. Po cut of the wires to one of the plugs right at the plug so I can't solder theam back together. Really don't want to spend 70 bucks and buy a new harness but may have to
