Vitos Degree key

So I was going through the bag of hardware that came with my last blaster purchase trying to find that little bb that goes between the clutch push rods (which I did find) and I came across a woodruff key with a slight notch on one side. I think it is a vitos degree key to advance the timing. My question is: Is the key worth the gram of steel it's made of or would it be a waste of time to put on? Second: Does the key normally only have a notch on one side?

Vito's gave me one for free.. i say worth putting it in if u didnt already do the advanced timing mod. the package says it supposedly adds 2-3hp. and yes it is supposed to have a notch, thats what offsets the timing

Yeah, I know it is supposed to have a notch but mine is notched on one side and smooth on the other. Is it normally smooth on one side:-/

which way does the key go in with the slot to the left or to the right
