verizon phone's?

give me 2 weeks and ill find a unlock for it.. but they are still coming out with firmware updates for it so i wouldnt be worried about it breaking

I have a storm and like it. You can do anything you want on it. The internet is better than on any other blackberry device and the 8 gig memory card that comes with it is a plus. You can put all sorts of music and full movies on a storm. The screen is good size to be able to watch those movies as well.

The Voyager is not made anymore and was replaced by the envy touch like previously stated. The only problem I have with the touch is that the "full QWERTY" key board is set up crappy and hard to use IMO.

As far as the storm breaking pay the $6.99/MO so if you break it they will replace it. All Blackberrys come with a 1 year warranty out of the box so if it breaks within a year Verizon will replace it. Replacing broken phones is not the big issue it used to be.

Also the best thing about Blackberry devices is that you can back your whole phone up on your computer. Pictures, text messages, call log, ring tones, phone book, everything. So if your phone breaks and you have it backed up on you computer you can go get your new phone and just plug it into your computer and it's like your never even got a new phone.

Ok that was a lot I am just a fan of Verizon customer service and Blackberry phones. Neither have ever done me wrong.

Thank you cc&fabb....I really needed to hear something positive. I used the phone today and everything was good EXCEPT....my batt died quick and i really wasnt even using it...do u think i had maybe apps running in the background and didnt know it...is there a task manager or anything like that where i can see whats running and what are some battery saving tips u might be able to share with me?? Thanks

ok i went to the verizon store and they told me the balckberry storm had to many gliches cause it just came out i asked them about the voyager and they said it was great and had had many updates since it came out so i got it

What do u mean it just came out? Wasnt it released in NOV 2008? the glitches should be worked out by now right?

Yes, when you exit out of applications with a blackberry you need to "back" out of them. Use the arrow button to get out of applications or use the blackberry button to pull up the menu and CLOSE out of the application. If you use the "end call" button to close your applications it keeps them running and not only runs your battery down but slows the phone down. To see what applications are running you can push the blackberry button and select "switch application" that will show you all the applications that are running.

When my phone slows down I pull my batter out (usually once every week or so) and that will restart the phone and close all un-needed applications. This will keep your batter life longer and keep your phone moving faster.

I normally have to charge phone by the 3/4 part of my 16 hr work day. It just depends on how much you use your phone. A blackberry is a smart phone so it is going to use a lot more batter than a normal phone.

Also, since a Blackberry will save text messages for a mininum of 15 days and a max of forever I normally go through and delete all of my text messages once a week. If too many messages sit in your MMS/SMS box it will slow down your texting. I text a lot though...about 5600 messages a month!

Hope this helps...Also why do you want to jailbreak your phone?

The Storm did come out in December of 2008. At the time the new OS on the phone had a few glitches. Now, they have fixed the glitches with OS 4.7 and my phone runs perfectly.

I dont use the phone that much, I just email back n forth with the mr a lil bit through the day and today I took it off the charger fully charged at 7am and it was dead by 1230....and i didnt really even play with it or anything...ill have to make sure the apps are closed. I used to text alot but not anymore so im not too worried about that. What apps do you like on it?? I dont exactly know what jailbreakin is...to tell the truth...just heard people do that to get a bunch of apps or something...idk

Hum what I would do to make your phone to make the batter keep the charge better is to let your phone go all the way dead and then charge it completly with the phone OFF.

I use blackberry app world to get apps. Its free and has every app you need/want. Some are free some are not.

The only apps I use are my bank one, an Sf Giants app, MSN messenger, Yahoo messenger and a few other ones. I am not too big into apps though. I love blackberry messenger though! I have a site where you can get all the free ring tones you want. You can PM your cell number and ill text it to you or if you use Blackberry messenger PM your Pin and Ill BBM it it to you.

i also am a crackberry user i have a curve right now and i am going to either get a bold or i am moving to the iphone

A phone can die pretty quickly if its not getting a good signal. That combined with the amount of power a smart phone uses could be why it died so quick. I got a small samsung gleam for now and when im in school i get a horrible signal usually by the time school lets out the battery is almost half dead so it would probly be twice as worse for a smart phone. for my next phone when i can upgrade in january its gonna be something with a keyboard. I might get a touch still thinking about that but my dads not gonna let me get to many apps or use the internet so i dont think it would be worth it.
