I'm thinking of getting either them, or a set of boysen reeds for my YFS200 (stock) my reeds are shot. What are the advantages of a V Force 3, and what are they, and price, compared to boysen, or V Force 2. Also what would the Vforce do to my blaster?

you can get a set of boyesen petals for like 15 bucks....they are good but nothing compared to vf3's imo....but........vf3 run about 130 on ebay and about the same everywhere else that ive seen....just get on ebay and see for yourself....either way you blaster is gonna perform better and have a snappier throttle response...its just up to you as to how much you wanna spend....

i just got a set of vforce 3's from blaster240r, and i put them on already but i also installed an exhaust at the same time and its a completely different quad. its so much snappier over the boyeson two stage reeds that were in it before. if you have the money to spend, get some

well im only 15 so. I cant legally work, but i worked and i made 150-200. is there anyway i could squeeze vforce 3 into my budget, or should i wait till christmas, and get vforce and a new exhaust then, and just get boysen now? because the reeds that are in it now are stock.

if u have the money get the v force3's i have the boyseen reeds there better than stock but not much better. Plus i hear v force3's are wicked but make sure u dont have a air leak

If you decide on the VF3s here is a link for the best price.

NIB Blaster V-Force III Reeds Reed Assembly Reed Cages: eBay Motors (item 350288363160 end time Jul-31-10 13:36:06 PDT)

Looking at this thread, I realized no one (including me) actually answered your original question. The thing that makes VF3s better is they have twice as many reeds as the others. (8 vs 4, dual petals don't count) This gives twice the reed tip surface and consequently they only have to open half as far to flow the same amount of air and for a given rpm can change directions faster. The result is faster throttle response and maybe a bit more power.

Now I am extremely grateful, But why is the tip of the petals a open gap like that? And ive been looking, do I need the reed sets with 3 petals to a side, or 2, because some of the 2 per side, look like they wouldnt bolt onto it correctly.
