v force 3 install???

cut the cone off of the vf3 inner plate, lap sanded it smooth, bolted it to my billet intake base, reached thru and scribed a line, then using an air dremel (< saweeeet) of my buddies,
port matched the 2 pieces for nice even flow, got it all on the bike, and seems to be running better, airscrew 1 turn out, still gonna fool with jetting, but she at least revs cleanly now, so all in all, ya do need that plate in the reed cage, but do not need the cone thingy, at least not with my billet base intake

Hey u know i had the exact same problem when i upgraded to a Snyder Motorsport intake boot/manifol ... The stock one which i grinded did fit with the "thingy" on the VF-3 .. But when i bought the Snyder one it couldnt possibly fit.. so i removed/pulled the lid from the VF3 and as mentioned earlier it actually seemed like i now have even more power.. I couldnt see any downside by doing this.. maybe the lid is only when runing stock carb and intake boot..

I´d say skip the damn thing.. run without like me! It works great!

( I have not made any complicated tests yet though.. only tried back and forth a few times.. because then i started complete body rebuild)
