First.

Im compleatly a car guy, and in the car world, generally speaking, higher octain fuel better performance... Is this the same idea with the quad? should i run high octain fuel?

2

Im looking for a clutch, again being a car guy all i can say is for example. a stage 2-3 clutch grabs instantly and with wicked grab. Is there such a thing for a blaster?

THANKS!

Higher octane does give a little more power (at least I can tell with some octane booster) and is sometimes reqired to run in high compression engine.

as far as clutches go you can get different fiber discs and different H.D. springs. all to suit personal wants. but remember its a wet clutch so its gonna slip, but since i replaced my clutch with a hd one and a new cable too it grabs the way i feel it should

where was your clutch from? Im having trouble finding good parts place that carries aftermarket stuff...

search on ebay, i believe a company called "driveline specialties" are who make the hd 240 clutch kits that add the extra fiber in place of the wave washer

i've also heard good reports about the "el cheapo" tusk clutches, and the "barnett dirt diggers" being "cream of the crop" ??????

prolly all available from..... rockymountainatv.com

also try eastcoastatv.com
and rjatv.com

Higher octane gas doesn't yield better performance in the car or ATV world unless you need it. Octane rating is only a matter of necessity, not of performance. If you put 93 in your Honda Civic it won't run any faster, because it stands nothing to gain by running it......in fact it will run slower. It's merely a slower deflagrating fuel.

the clutch i have is from a local shop at the time i bought it. but i would not go to them, i recomended them to a bud and they bent the shat out of his rims(sorry Ian) but it was just over a hundred and was a hd unit, works very well for the power i am making.
