My dads got two. He is sometimes a prick but hes been kool about me wanting to work on them... We got a 327/auto trans for now... Problem is... One is all original... But the roof is toast (dern vinyl tops! haha). And the other is just a bondo-ed peice in which we got for 500... I want to work on the "bondo-ed peice" but my dad wants to keep the numbers matching one all together... I joined a camaro forum and they said even for a numbers matching car, a plain Jane 68 V8 Auto isn't gonna be worth much... Opinons please... Sorry for the randomness.

those guys on the camero forum would know. Probably isn't worth a whole lot since there isn't anything "rare" about it. Still be a nice car to cruise around with though

just being a 1st gen camaro makes it worth a bit of money. Perhaps not as much as a ss, rs, etc but its still worth some decent money. Just the shells go for a couple grand around here and they're not even in very good condition.

Yeah, we got our second 68 off of a dad's "friend" who needed money at the time... He's also got two 69 RS/SS's... But they're in worse shape than the one he gave us... What do you guys think I should do?

dude your dad is just like mine owns 2 camaros and is a prick haha we bought our 67 rs 327 vortec paid 6 grand and got a quote from insurence company or what ever now worth 25,000 but that is 3yrs later ours is mint though very rare interior, very low miles around 70,000. its so hard to find a 4 speed 67 or 68. you should get to work haha

Hes got another array of projects... I'm not done. Haha. Hes also got a 72? corvette stingray. The last year of chrome bumpers. Frame's junk. Then hes got a wicked old ford dumptruck with a 392. An 88 dodge d150 which he is currently working on veryyy slowly. Ugh hes a pain. Ohh and a Triumph TR6...

U can never have too many projects. Its nice to have somethin to work on when ur bored out of ur mind bcuz it gives u somethin to do while still doin something useful

well, for the bondo-ed roof you could always get a firebird roof for it, i think there the same, why not do them both tho, there are so many parts out there for them and the firebird id say youd be better off doin both, ya itd cost more but them you would have two buttuies and you could put a 396 in one, just a thought

cmon now!!! there are guys that have put ls1's in miata's, a guy by millwakee has a 305 in one, ther are buys that stick v8 in feiros and mr2s. i owned 2 mr2s .. and the 4 banger seems tight but its do able..

what is it a z28 ss rs the ss and z28 are worth more stock the rs is usualy worth less stock because it has less power in most cases

These are plain jane camaros as in, if I souped it up, it would be known as a sleeper. Only badges on them is camaro, chevy, and 250 (v6) and 327.
