I understand the idea. If the throttle sticks it'll just run away. It's a liability issue and if yamaha could have got everyone who had ever ridden a blaster to sign a waiver they wouldn't have had to put it on there. But by the same token, if you didn't have health insurance and your ride got away from you because the throttle hung and you got hurt really bad and lost your job and lost your house, you'd probably be ready to sue for damages. Even if it isn't you that would sue like that, someone would so they did what they had to to head that off...
