Alright checking this tors eliminator cap out.. My question is this and it may be a dumb one but if you eliminate the tors off the carb then how do you adjust the idle? thanks.

I JUST installed Vito's tors eliminator cap and cable system this weekend. For $39 plus shipping it's a new cable, mikuni carb cap, drill bit, tap, and idle set screw.

The threaded piece on the top of the carburetor cap is for adjusting the WOT setting NOT the idle setting. The throttle cable is supposed to have about 1mm of slack on the thumb pad so that the throttle cable isn't what's setting the idle. If something hangs there is a little slack so that the throttle hopefully won't hang open.

There is a little boss on the left side of the carburetor with nothing in it. The drill bit drills through the side of the carb for the idle set screw to pass through. The tap taps 6mm x .75 threads into the outer portion of that boss for the idle set screw to thread into. The slide has a ramp made into the side of it so that the idle set screw hits it.

The only thing that's not included in their kit is a file to file the boss down from a slant to flat so the locknut on the idle set screw has something to tighten down against.

I put it in on Saturday and rode it around to warm up and then set the idle. Before it wasn't very sensitive to idle adjustments. Now I have it down where it idles really low and can adjust it very easily anywhere in the range I want. I highly recommend it if you're into changing things that will require jetting changes. With the tors off of there I can lean the carburetor over to access the float bowl without any trouble. Just loosen the clamps and roll the top of the carb towards the right side to change jets on the left. Very handy

x2 that is the kit you need don't use the cable for idle adjustment it won't work correctly
