So today for fathers day my old man wanted to go and fire some rounds with the families collection of handguns. Total we have 5:
Sig Sauer P226 .40 S&W
Glock 35 .40 S&W
F&P/F&H .45 ACP
Ruger SR9 9mm
Smith & Wesson .38 Special Compact Revolver (for Mom)
We've all been shooting for almost 2 years now so we've been getting pretty good. We just got the .38 Special Revolver for Mom on Mothers Day. We all hate it. Going to sell it on Gunbroker and then maybe get a sub compact glock or ruger for her. The .38 Special in a revolver hurts your hand after shooting off a 5 round cylinder.... Anyway, we had 2 lanes and had the Glock and Sig Sauer in one lane, the Ruger, Revolver, and the F&P in the other. I decided to test my skills out on a 12" x 18" Target. It was a 3 silouette target, one full sized one in the center, and 2 small ones next to it. The one in the center was the "Hostage" and the outer ones were the "Bad Guys". So I had to shoot both outer guys and save the hostage. But, the tricky part was that I set the target up at 42 feet away. I went in the lane with the Glock and Sig Sauer and started poppin some caps off. Here are the results:
As you can see the hostage is dead but pretty good for 42 feet!
