is the z400 a good quad and also is it a race one like a 450 plus can you put the new plastics on that make it look like a ltr

its a great quad...it CAN BE MADE INTO A RACE ONE...jus not straight of the show room floor...and i dont think you can put 450 plastics on a 400..i think the body design is smaller
The LTR can be trailed easily, just slap some 20's on it and your good to go, unless you are riding really tight trails. Also, the 2009 z400 looks nearly identical to the LTR, I own an LTR and I have to look twice to tell them apart. If you just want to trail though, I'd recommend the z400, it's cheaper, geared a bit better for the trails, and has a plusher ride. But, if you plan to do both, I wouldn't hesitate on an LTR, it's an awesome machine.
actal now that I no ltz is not like race setup I tthink im going to go with the ltr but I have a banshee and blaster right now mostly ride the banshee is the power conparble between the ltr and banshee with just t5's on it
one of my friends has a z400 its amazing but i like my 400ex better and another one of my friends has a ltr OMG its fast and amazing in the trails
I believe an LTR with just a cherry bomb ($40), air lid removed, and baffle removed will out accelerate a piped banshee. Although it's been quite a few years since I rode a banshee, so maybe my memory isn't up to par. Top speed, I would say Banshee has it. I come from a long line of two strokes, 2, 3, and 4 wheeled, and the LTR suits me just fine, it's a torque monster. I trail it 70% of the time and track 30%, so don't let people tell you you can't trail it. It also handles like a dream in stock form once you properly adjust the suspension. The fuel injection is also very nice, although if you mod any further than the basics I mentioned above, you will need a Power Commander.
i got a kfx400 witch is almost the same as a z400, i love it. itll eat up 400ex's all day. of course im not a newbie to ridin. the ltr450s are awesome for racing, but any quad is if you have $, my buddy has a 06 yfz450 and itll tear up most ltrs around my area.
yea the ltz 400 is awesome as for the plastics sorry but the only race like plastic u can git for it is the one i have on (in my sig) it has great bottom and top end power and is great for the track with a few mods i highly recommend it I:I
my freind has a kfx400 and its amazing. its a good trail quad or race quad. hes got a 440 big bore kit and a rev box and its really fast. it keeps up with my 660 and my freinds 660 all day. and incase you didnt kno kfx400 and ltz400 are identical quads...
yea i know wat u mean thoose 440 kits add alot ofkick and yea bettween the years 2003 and 2006 the kfx and ltz 400 were the exact same thing exsept for the color and graphics :">
