the old knocking noise

i currently dont have a vido but it just does the knocking when im just in 1st gear goin pretty slow but any higher rpms it doesent do it and at idle i dont think it does it.

Sounds like your running lean. When I ran my blaster with no airbox and without rejetting, it would always make a "Ping ping ping" noise. If I put the lid back on, the noise was gone.

yeah i thiink your right it didint do it before when i used 5 gallons of gas and 32 mil of spectro oil it didint do it. then i bought 5 galons of gas and 40 mil of some motul oil for the blasty and started usin it and ive used most of it now and it just started knockin, but my blasty is jetted correctly. also should i check my plug color?

Iis a bit confused by the statement that you changed oil.

Did you change your fuel/oil ratio?

If you added more oil to the mix you would have leaned out the fuel, calling for bigger jets.

Change back to 32:1 now or increase the main jet one size to compensate for the lean mixture produced by adding more oil.

With your mods you could need a #300 main, and an idle tweak.

More oil = less fuel.

Toss out that tankfull, chances are a few hours riding could fry the top end, if it is not already fried.

If the motor is jetted correctly for 32:1, changing ratio to more oil could be a costly exercise.

Where is the needle clip situated, and is it the stock needle?

So just get rid of what I have now and go back to 32/1 and it'll be fine? Also how do I drain gas out of a tank and it is a 280 jet but not totally sure

Cant say it will be fine, you may have already done damage.

Pull the pipe off the carb and turn on the petcock, and drain into a can.

#280 sounds good but plug chop to be sure.

i hope i didint do damage i put about 3 gallons of the gas through it. also whats the petcock ive never had to take gas out of a tank before so i dont know. and also is there a easy way to tell if ive doone damage or not?

The petcock is the tap on the tank you turn on to get fuel to run.

Do a compression test, it should be more than 100psi.

Pull the pipe off and look up the exhaust port for signs of piston/ring damage.
