We got mykx250f running today. It sounds really nice and loud. My dad is pushing me to get rid of the bike, cause I'm too small but I want to keep it and grow into it! We couldn't take the bike for a spin because of the snow all over the ground. Sorry no pics or vids, but I will get some soon!!!

that's a nice bike man but I agree start small and work your way up. your young and got lots of time to get into a big bike. rip it up on the small ones for a while and have fun!

Yea ive obviously seen them, and if he feels comfortable riding it; he should ride it. Though being 12, it takes a smart 12 year old to understand how much power there is. But if you ride it smart, you can really shred it up. Or sell it and downsize..Do what your father says lol

you definately should down grade lol, you will kill yourself. im 16, 6 foot and my 125 scares me sh*tless. i couldent imagine a 12 year old.

hell yea i jus got my kx250 runnin 2day
if i was u i wouldnt get rid of it jus be cautious at first n then once u get used to it ripp it up

its a 250F...4 stroke...not 2 stroke

Beat me to it...

I agree it is a big bike, If you can handle the controls and are comfortable with it I say go for it. I was 12 the first time I rode a cr250. That was way to much for me at the time, but I am still alive and had a blast. I actually had a 80 that was mine then... with the very controllable 4 stoke power, ride the hell outta it.

if you can touch the ground with the bike standing up then i think you should be good......i was 13 and riding a 250r......

its KX250 for god shakes. the kid isnt going to kill himself because its too much bike, if anything hes going to pin it, remember thats its a kawasaki and look for something faster next week to ride.

Guys, you shouldn't worry about me killing myself. I know how to ride, I rode both a cr250r and a kx250 owned by my two friends (2-strokes). Yea it was scary and fun at the same time, but you just have to be smart and know your throttle limit. I can reach the ground and touch the gear lever at the same time on my kx250f, I'm also trying to convince my dad to let me shave the seat. I will probably have pics and a vid this weekend.
