so i decided to change from redline to klotz and about 1/2 hr in to my ride my bike would just not idle, it runs great no problems but would just stall out if i didnt play with the trottle, i have never messed with the carb before and not sure how to go about it, i think it might need some idle adjustment but not sure

You may want to take it apart and clean it. I really don't think changing oil will affect anything. If you still have the tors, there's a big slotted screw on top of the tors that adjusts the idle.

this is my brain......................

this is my brain on klotz supertechnishit after only 2 weeks.................

I don't see how the oil would make that much of a change but it may. It would be odd if it would idle ok with the other oil. You still have my number? You can text me for any help on this.

^^^^huh?

I think you missed something there awk... apparently klotz REALLY fried something...

I have used klotz super techniplate now for about 50 hours on the same top end with only a ring refresh. There is a light black coat on the aluminum (not crust, just the soot) and a TINY bit of blow-by. It looks nothing like your "technishit" picture (I've seen that pic before).

klots is very thick sludgy oil..lighten up your mix to 40:1..matter of a fact most synthetic premix is not designed to run heavy mixes like 32:1 and stuff like that. most synthetic premix can be run as thin as 60:1...some even say on the bottle to run no more than 50:1...before switching oils always ready every bit of info you can on it

i ran that at 32:1, and sent the whole thing back to oconnor, only thing we could figure was it carboned up so bad it pushed the rings out, i lost 30lbs compression in 2 weeks time, 155 for 2 months on a fresh rebuild, then 125 within 2 weeks of running this garbage, zero airleaks
ken could not get the carbon out of the ring slots, even with acids made to remove them, another $120 wiseco down the drain, thanx supertechnishit

MAXIMA SUPER M ....FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the bike was running and idleling fine until the end of the tank with the redline after i refueled with klotz is when it started doing this, i guess i can go back to redline and see if it makes a difference, i just didnt know if i had to adjust anything because of the syntetic oil, the bike runs great and no issues besides that it wont idle....

synthetics especially klots and thick and heavy..if you have alot of klots left over just mix it to about 40:1 or 45:1 and i promise ur problem will be fixed. synthetic oils are made to be more efficient and ecco friendly since you are using less, better lubrication is just an accidental bi-product the found out back in the day... in my race 125..i mixed my 5gallon jug 50:1,,out of 1 bottle of premix i can mix 3 5gallon tanks on synthetic..while on conventional premix mixed at 32:1 will only mix one 5 gallon tank from one bottle

turn the idle up on top of the tors in the meantime. sometimes it just gets out of adjustment i know one day last week mine just randomly started stalling. 1/4 turn on the idle did the trick

also guys remember every engine is different and is going to burn different oils differently due to,top end, bore, temp, elevation, humidity, gas, spark plug..any one of those could be a factor why a certain bike wont like the same oil while someone elses loves it

You have a Toomey exhaust but have never messed with the carb before? :-/

i bought the bike pretty much as it is right now i did some cosmetics upgrades but all the performance stuff was already done, i did a top end rebuild on it but never mess with nothing else on the motor , this is my first two stroke so im still learning

So basically you are banking that the previous owner didn't f*ck up the jetting the first time around? :-/

Luckily, Toomey is pretty straightforward with jetting and supplies the 310 jet, but I wouldn't bank on somebody not screwing it up.
