Swingarm pivot bolt threads

Hi
I have a '97 Blaster with impossibly seized 14 mm swingarm pivot threads and must adjust my chain. I hope to just cut off the nut and save the bolts. Does anyone know if the bolts have a fairly common metric thread? And if I can obtain replacements at a home supply store and use them or is it advisable to get original nuts?

i think they are m6 with a 1.00 thread, not sure though, thats just memory

those bolts for the swingarm are hard to find.

wait just read it again, i was thinking the adjuster bolts, i think the thread on the pivot bolts are 1.25, you are best to start a wanted add or something, someone is bound to have some extras

you don't need to take out the swingarm bolt to adjust the chain...

maybe im retarted or something, but what does the swing arm pivot bolt have to do with adjusting the chain?

you mean the 2 carrier mounting bolts that hold the axle carrier in dont you?
that would allow chain adjustmet

I bought a new carrier nut with washer for $1 at my local Yamaha dealer. Cost more in gas to get there than the parts did.
