I want to know whats gonna change handling wise when I have my swingarm extended. I want to go +4 or +6 but I was told that if I did that with the stock motor it would stop being able to climb hills. Im not too worried about hillclimbs because that is not the only type of riding I like to do. I want to do some small to medium size jumps and whip it around a rinky dink dirt track getting bucknasty sideways. How will extending it effect these things.
And the motor isnt gonna stay stock forever so when I start putting work in it will this solve my hill problems. If there are any?
For now the Blaster is bone stock except for a circuit pro platinum header and can. This would be its first suspension mod followed by blaster front shocks and maybe a fox spring in the rear (not sure yet)

the swinger should make it easier to climb the hills....ever seen a purpose built hillclimb bike? stay +4 or maybe even a little shorter, that way you don't give up too much turning ability.

+4 should be fine.... i know that a lot of the mx guys use like a +2. i'll know how mine is when i put it on

+4 or +3 is the way to go makes the quad feel a little bigger, you do loose some traction by extending the swingarm tho......up one arms will help with that a bit...........and a extended swingarm will help with hill climbs by keeping the front down

check out my sig pic thats my bike with a +4

Looks Great! Ive had my blaster for less than a week picked it up for 100$ and then dumped 180 into parts and my friend and I rebuilt it. I could have never been able to afford a fancy new quad like everybody else I ride with has. And blasters are easy to work on (good for me). Im pretty big for a blaster 5-10 200lbs and I want to make this bike the way I want it and be able to do anything with it without eating my already meager bank account. Hell you should see the piece of crap 3 wheeler I ride. Its a piece of crap but it goes

A desert seat and raised bars will make you a lot more comfortable.

You thinking that I shouldnt extend it? Do you think I will be better off keeping it the way it is? I want to get as much feedback as possible before I consider doing it. Like I said before pro's and cons of what a +4 swingarm would do to my blaster

if you want it to feel a lot bigger, get yourself another set of bar clamps, put them under the bars and get some new longer bolts, makes the blaster feel waaaay better.

As said, the extended arm won't make ya fit the bike any better. We have a +2 and a +4 blaster. No real difference on our tight trails since you're always moving your weight around anyway. The difference on our trails is always the rider. The +4 is definitely better for us at the dunes. IMHO

And another thing Couldnt I put some really nobby tires like holeshot HD's on it and solve some of the traction issues that occur if I extended it

if you dont race i would not worry about the traction issue i have ran a +4 for awhile now and as far as traction....its about the same as it was without
