Hey guys I removed my swingarm so that I could get started with some painting and a bunch of little cylinder like peices of metal were in there I am guessing that is what is left of the bearings. I want to fix all of that so what brand rebuild kit should I use? and what other bearings need to be looked at?

pivotworks, all balls, OEM, all good choices for swinger bearings

while you have everything apart, check out the rear axle bearings as well. replace them if they have play in them

I like all balls bearing kits for most all ATV related stuff. They're less expensive than OEM bearings and they generally come as a "kit" for replacing all of the related parts instead of each individual piece like the stock bearings.

I was actualy leaning towards the all balls brand it just souds tuff like they are the good stuff. Are you saying that they should have a kit for the whole bike or just a swingarm kit and a carrier kit and wheel kit?

No, not a whole kit for the entire quad. Like swingarm pivot rebuild kit. It'll include both needle bearings, both seals, maybe new washers, and possibly new pivot tubes. Instead of having to order each and every part (at a premium of course) individually at the dealership.

my PivotWorks kit for the Zilla included bearings, thrust washers, end caps, and the "tubes". Was a little more than AllBalls, but I compared the two brands and I personally PW more

I think I am going to replace all of the chassis bearings. I am getting a pretty stout motor built by ken so I want to be sure there will be no problems with any of the bearings. Looks lke it can be done for around a hundred bucks

I go the route of disassembly and check out before ordering replacements. A lot of times the bearings are in fine shape, they just could use a cleaning and repacking with grease before reinstallation.

Obviously, if you have swingarm movement you'll need to replace something but I wouldn't order every bearing on the quad JUST to have all new bearings....

I took mine apart like two years ago after buying a kit (forget which brand...still have it in the plastic) to replace them because I would get a little squeak sometimes. Turns out I caught them in time, they were dry but not damaged so I just put tons of grease on my finger and worked it into the bearings, greased up the seals and put it back together.

Sounds like you'll need the kit in your case though. Make sure you pack plenty of grease in there and get the seals greased too so that they keep water out!!
